Disney CEO Impessed with Digital Sales, More to Come..

Walt Disney Co. CEO announced the he's not leaving the Internet to producers of special-interest or niche programming.

Robert Iger said this week that his company understands that teh consumer wants his material in numerous delivery platforms. iTunes is one of the platforms which has proven to be tremendously succesfull with over 125,000 movies sold since the launch last week.

With Apple's announcement of code name iTV last week, Disney is now poised to have access directly into the living rooms of millions of itunes users. This could prove to be even more profitable as Disney develops programming that specifically is monetized off the distribution through the iTunes network.
